Excellent and easy to prepare dish. Rump steak with leek sauce.
2 rump steaks – Qulinary Feast
200 ml of 36% fat sweet cream
salt, freshly ground pepper
20-40 g of clarified butter or plant fat for frying
Preparation of the meat: Season the rump steaks with salt and freshly ground pepper. Place in a hot frying pan with a small amount of clarified butter or plant oil. When the meat becomes golden-brown, turn it over. Transfer the perfectly sautéed meat into the oven preheated to 180°C for 6-8 minutes (the inner temperature of the steak should be about 56°C). After removing from the oven, set the steaks aside for a few minutes to let them rest (to even out the temperature on the inside and outside of the meat). Pour a small amount of the leek sauce on the plate. Next, arrange pieces of fried leek on top. Cover with the steak.
Preparation of the fried leek: Cut the white part of the leek into 8-10 slices, 7 mm thick, sprinkle with salt and pepper. Fry in the fat remaining after frying the steak.
