  • 2 tomatoes
  • 1 red onion
  • 3-4 pickled cucumbers
  • ½ head of iceberg lettuce
  • 50 ml of clarified butter
  • salt and pepper

  • Preparation of vegetables:
    Before commencing the frying of meat, we must prepare all the additional ingredients. Slice the tomatoes and the red onion, and cut the pickled cucumbers into strips. Do not forget the lettuce – tear its leaves into smaller pieces. The tastiest, the most delicate and the most juicy ones are those inside the lettuce head.
  • Frying the burgers:
    Spread a small amount of fat – clarified butter or oil – on a grill frying pan and heat it. Place the burgers on the frying pan, fry them for a few minutes and flip. The fried surface should clearly show the dark marks from the pan’s grill. Remove the burgers from the pan and fry the buns in the remaining fat.
  • When both the meat and the buns are ready, assemble the burgers. Spread mayonnaise on the fried bun (garlic sauce is also fine), next add some mustard and a bit of ketchup. Layer the vegetables – salad, tomato slices, sprinkle with salt and pepper, add the pickled cucumber strips. Place the hot burger on the vegetables and the other half of the bun on top. Press the whole construction gently together. Serve on its own, or with a side dish of fries.
